The new Odeon Tower currently under construction in the luxurious tax-haven of Monaco is set to become the most expensive per square foot property in the world when completed next year.
The Odeon Tower will rise 170m (557ft) above the azure Mediterranean Sea and hold 259 units, along with 70 luxury apartments with between one and six bedrooms, two sky duplexes and a huge, private penthouse dominating the top of the Tower. Each apartment will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces with panoramic views of Monaco, Ligurian Sea and Larvotto Beach.
Amongst the lavish apartments will be Russian and Turkish saunas, several swimming pools, full-time concierge service, private limousine services, a cinema and private spas. All these services, as well as house-keeping, dry cleaning and valet services will be accessible to residents via touch screen panels inside each apartment.
Crowning the Odeon Tower will be a magnificent 3,300 sq m multi-storey penthouse including a private water slide descending into an exclusive infinity pool.
It is this extravagant apartment (apartment doesn’t really do it justice) that has been estimated could reach a sale price of $380 million when it goes on sale around the middle of 2014.
The project was the idea of architect Alexander Giraldi who quotes his inspiration as the era of peace and optimism in Europe, especially Paris, during the period 1871-1914. Interior design is the responsibility of the Alberto Pinto agency who have many previous clientele amongst American captains of industry and Saudi Arabian royalty. The grounds will be designed and arranged by famous landscape architect Jean Mus.
